Transmission 0.7
Until now there’s no µTorrent-client (my personal favorite BitTorrent-client on win32) for Mac OS X or Linux, so one could go for Xtorrent (on the Mac). But after the beta testing-period is over, you have to pay for that piece of software, I guess. And searching from within the client (as Xtorrent offers) might be a nice feature, but when I look for torrent-files I always go straight to BTjunkie.org.
Here is what I suggest: Transmisson, which is also available as a Linux- and *BSD-client.
And to be more precisely, take one of the latest SVN-builds out of the v0.7-range. Of course the eye-candy as shown on the left can only be yours when run on Mac OS X.

I just checked out the Linux version of it and am not very impressed. No eyecandy like the Mac, like you’ve mentioned, and very few available options.
Guess I’ll stick to Azureus for now…
Today is my apple/os x day, first the iPhone, now the eye-candy of transmission – time for bed
My first comment states that “today is my apple day” – yes it was one indeed. The morning I woke up I had to discover my MacBook with a frozen screen, OK I rebooted but it did not reboot. Just the folder icon with a question mark appearing instead of the boot screen.
THAT DAY MY HD DIED.
So for all you computer, laptop and whatever users out there, really do daily backups of your important work, fortunately enough I did one the evening before..
Second lesson, if you really need your laptop asap, buy yourself a new harddisk instead of waiting for one, you’ll wait forever.
